Deshabandu Hashan Prasantha Tillakaratne (born 14 July 1967) is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and a former Test captain for Sri Lanka.[1] He was a key member for 1996 Cricket World Cup winning team for Sri Lanka. He is currently a politician and also involved in many aspects of cricket within the country.
He batted as a lower middle order batsman and on many occasions in ODIs held one end in the last ten overs to take the team forward in exciting run chases.
He was involved in a cameo in an ODI against the West Indies in Sharjah 1995 Champions trophy chasing 333
