Roger Binny – Indian Cricketer

Roger Michael Humphrey Binny, is a former Indian all-rounder who played 27 Tests and 72 ODIs for India. He was a part of the 1983 World Cup winning squad. Binny, came into his own in the World Cup. The wickets suited his medium-pace, and in tandem with Madan Lal, and led by the inspirational Kapil Dev, he helped India win their first World Cup title.
He was also a part of the Indian squad that won the World Championship of Cricket in 1985.
Roger made 211 against Kerala, sharing a record unbroken 451-run opening wicket partnership with Sanjay Desai in 1977/78. He had an indifferent Test debut against Pakistan in 1979 as he scored 46 in the first innings, but stayed wicketless throughout the match.
He played 27 tests and 72 ODIs at an average of 32.64 and 29.35 respectively
